Children-centric Duronto TV launched


The first ever children and family based television channel of Bangladesh 'Duronto' has started its journey.  The logo of this channel was unveiled in a press conference organized by Barinda Media Ltd. (A Renaissance Group entity) at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel at Dhaka. The channel has started limited broadcasting and will start regular broadcasting very soon.

Hasanul Haque Inu MP, Information Minister, was the Chief Guest of the Logo Unveiling Ceremony. Asaduzzaman Noor MP, Cultural Affairs Minister, Tarana Halim MP, State Minister for Post &  Telecommunications, Md. Shahriar Alam MP, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and Faridur Reza Sagor, eminent writer & media personality attended the program as Special Guests.

Muhammad Sayeed, the MD of Duronto TV said, "Even if there are very few elements for the entertainment of Bangladeshi Children that too are inadequate. Because of lack of entertainment based on Bengali culture and content, our children are getting more interested in foreign culture and inappropriate content. 'Duronto' has started its journey to develop our children by entertaining them with our native history, tradition and culture. We hope that both the children and parents will enjoy our programs."
