Shironamhin frontman Tanzir Tuhin stepped away from his troupe on October 6. The musician, singer-songwriter, actor and architect made an announcement in this regard on his Facebook on Friday. In a short posting, Tuhin said that he is exiting the band for personal reasons. "I am Tanzir Tuhin, stepping away from Shironamhin for personal reasons", he wrote.
However, Tuhin informed media that he took this decision because the band performed onstage replacing him with another artiste when he was admitted in hospital due to health reasons.
Tuhin had been admitted in National Hearth Foundation due to a block in his coronary artery. Doctors decided that he did not need any surgery so he returned home from hospital after recovering from illness.
However, doctors advised him not to perform on the stage for the time being. However, the band 'Shironamhin' decided to perform with a new vocal Ishtiaq instead of Tuhin while he was in the hospital. This incident led to the breakup of the band.
In an interview with a leading daily of the country, Tuhin said, "I was really hurt by the attitude of my band members in my difficult time. Money was more important to them when I was sick in the hospital. They valued money over friendship, partnership and they didn't want to miss a single show. How much money do they need?"
Tuhin also said that it wouldn't have harmed the band if they did not perform any show for only a month.'Shironamhin' was formed in 1996 from a small group of BUET students and from that time Tuhin has been the lead vocalist of this popular band.
Over his decision, Tuhin has said that most of the songs by 'Shironamhin' are actually his creation. After this incident, he does not want the band to perform any song that is originally his.
Tuhin has also decided to send legal notice to all corporations and expects their help to prevent them from using his songs. About his plans for music in future, Tuhin informed that he will continue his journey as a musician as soon as he recovers.
