Minhaj Chowdhury has been awarded the prestigious Ashoka Fellowship in recognition of his work in building Drinkwell (www.dri nkwellsystems.com), a pioneering social enterprise whose patented resin platform is eradicating South Asia's water crisis by blending nanotechnology with a franchise business model.
Abdullah Chowdhury (Robin), country director of Ashoka Innovators for the Public (Bangladesh) said: "It is my privilege and honor to announce Minhaj's Fellowship." Minhaj, an American-born Johns Hopkins University graduate with Bangladeshi origins, now joins the fellowship network of over 3,200 fellows globally across 82 countries, which includes two Nobel Peace Prize winners.
