Energy secy to continue on contract

The government has re-appointed the Energy and Mineral Resources Secre-tary  Nazimuddin Chow-dhury for six months on contractual basis. Ministry of Public Administration issued an order yesterday appointing as the secretary for six months from November 10 to May 9 next with on condition of the cancellation of the Post-Retirement Leave of this officer of Audit & Accounts Cadre of BCS 1984 batch.

Nazimuddin Chowdhury promoted to joint secretary on November 21, 2010 and additional secretary on January 13, 2014. He was made the acting secretary of on December 13, 2015 Energy & Mineral Resources Division while he was an additional secretary of this division. He got the promotion as the secretary on June 14, 2016.

Nazimuddin ex-officio performs his duties as the chairman of six state-owned organizations under the control of Energy & Mineral Resources Division.Meanwhile, the government has extended the contract of Dr Sheikh Sader Hossain, a professor (clinical neurosurgery) of the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital, for two years by another order.

Dr Sader Hossain was contractually appointed s the professor of the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital on October 17, 2016. The contract of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Director Anjir Liton has also been extended for two years from November 20. He was appointed as the director of Shishu Academy on contractual basis on November 20, 2016.
