February 3, 2017: Actress Airin had a road accident at Mirpur circle-10 and got seriously injured. She went there to campaign for a movie named 'Mayabini'.

February 13, 2017: Meher Afroz Shaon lodged a written complaint with Bangladesh Film Censor Board saying Mostofa Sarwar Farooki represented Humayun Ahmed in a wrong way in his movie 'Doob: No Bed of Roses'.

February 25, 2017: A book titled 'Sritituku Thak' written by famous actress Kabori Sarwar got published in Ekushey Book Fair. The book contains many events of her acting and political careers.

March 15, 2017: Anju Ghosh announced that she was going to produce Bangla movie.

April 12, 2017: Actor Arifin Shuvo was summoned to Bangladesh Cholochitro Parichalak Samity office on various allegations. Two among the allegations brought against the actor were: He did not give proper schedule to Director Shohanur Rahman Shohan and he infringed his commitment with Director Zakir Hossain Raju.

April 24, 2017: Bangladesh Cholochitro Parichalak Samiti sent a legal notice to Shakib Khan as there were some unfinished issues between them. And the term was none of the directors and producers would work with Actor Shakib Khan, until those issues would fix entirely.

April 30, 2017: 18 organizations related to film industry banned Shakib Khan for an indefinite time.
May 1, 2017: 12 of the 18 organizations withdrew the ban on Shakib Khan. Cholochitro Parichalak Samity was one of them.

May 6, 2017: Election of Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Shomity was held. Misha Sawdagar and Zayed Khan were elected president and general secretary respectively.

On the other hand Shakib Khan filed a general diary with Tejgaon Thana alleging that an attack was made on him during the election event. Another candidate for the post of President Omar Sani demanded cancelation of election results raising various issues. He said many unethical activities were done to manipulate the elections results.

May 21, 2017: Actress Shabnur was fired from Bangladesh Cholochitro Parichalak Samity's membership as she did not act in any film in the previous four years.

June 18, 2017: Bangladesh Cholochitro Oikyojot called a stay-in-strike to stop the release of joint production movies 'Nabab' and 'Boss 2'.

June 19, 2017: Actress Shabana and Moushumi met Prime Minister to ask for a help for Director Azizur Rahman's proper treatment.

June 21, 2017: Bangladesh Cholochitro Oikyojot called a march towards Bangladesh Film Censor Board to stop the release of two joint production movies 'Nabab' and 'Boss 2'. And there happened an unfortunate attack on Iftekhar Uddin Nawshad, president of the Bangladesh Cholochitro Prodorshok Shomity and owner of The Modhumita Cinema Hall.

June 22, 2017: Bangladesh Film Censor Board gave green signal to 'Nabab' and 'Boss 2'without any type of censor for release. Bangladesh Cholochitro Oikyojot's activities didn't find any positive result for them. And the movies were released on the Eid occasion.

July 11, 2017: Bangladesh Cholochitro Prodorshok Samity banned Misha Sawdagar, Riaz and Khorshed Alam Khoshru.

July 13, 2017: Actress Pori Moni made public her love affair with RJ Tamim Hasan by uploading pictures of exchange of rings on facebook.

September 13, 2017: Information Ministry published a draft policy for joint-venture movies. And Bangladesh Cholochitro Oikyojot's members were delighted at the decision. The draft included a provision - no joint venture movie can be made before the final instructions are prepared.

October 2, 2017: A new platform with the name Bangladesh Cholochitro Forum was formed at the behest of Shakib Khan.

October 7, 2017: Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor said that Film Industry's activities should be under control of Cultural Ministry.

October 11, 2017: The newly appointed Managing Director MD. Amir Hossen took charge of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).
