Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq has said Dr Kamal Hossain along with US ambassador has hatched conspiracy to topple the government over the students' movement.
He came up with this allegation at a public rally at Chargachh NI Bhuiyan Degree College ground in Brahman-baria's Kasba on the occasion of 15th August yesterday.
The minister said, "Innocent children will go to schools. A bus ploughs on them, which will make them agitated. It is natural. The schoolchildren have demonstrated for safe roads. We supported them and termed their demand just. Roads should be safe and we will do this. We urged students to go back home.
They were returning. That time, Dr Kamal Hossain in collusion with US ambassador has plotted to topple the government." About the upcoming general election, Anisul Huq said, "The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) fears violence in the upcoming general election.
Four election commissioners have disagreed with him. I would like to tell the CEC on this issue, you hold a free and fair election. People of this country will cast their votes without any violence. We the people of Bangladesh are disciplined. Don't get worried."
