The Taj Mahal of Bengal is actually a copycat version of the original Taj Mahal (a Mughal tomb in Agra, India). It is located in Sonargaon, 20 miles east of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka. Ahsanullah Moni, a rich Bangladeshi film maker, in contrast to the original Taj, built the Taj Mahal of Bengal.
The job took only five years. In December 2008, the project cost was $ 56 million and its location was 20 miles northwest of capital Dhaka. The main building of the Taj Mahal is wrapped in a transparent and expensive stone. Four big minarets in the four corners, the main building in the middle, full tiles.
Water fountains in front, flower garden around and visitors sitting on both sides. There are Rajmoni Film City Studios. Any visitor can take pictures here if you wish. The Taj Mahal is surrounded by various handicrafts, jamdani saris, earthenware and other related products.
The memory of the War of Liberation is the sculptor. Here memorial sculptures of Indira Gandhi and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman are being constructed. Today, many tourists from across the country and abroad are crowded for Taj Mahal philosophy.
