Prosenjit Chatterjee is an Indian film actor and producer who work predominantly in Bengali and Hindi cinema. The son of actor Biswajit Chatterjee, he is a well-known actor himself.

He began his acting career as a child actor in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Chotto Jigyasa, for which he won the Bengal Film Journalists' Association - Most Outstanding Work of the Year Award. Following this he had appeared in some other films as a child actor. Prosenjit's first leading role came through Bimal Roy's Duti Pata, which couldn't take off his career.

He attended Calcutta Airport English High School (H.S.) up to class 10. He attended St. Xavier's Collegiate School and St. Xavier's College, Calcutta. He was born on 30 September 1962 (age 55) Kolkata, West Bengal, India .
