The tree is God's impeccable creation. The trembling of the green leafy tree awakens the soul. Himel comes to the heart in the air. Sweating in the scorching sun brings peace to the body .Pollution-free environment is essential for living a healthy, beautiful and normal life. And the need for trees to maintain a clean and balanced environment is immense.
According to environmental researchers, Bangladesh needs about 25 percent of the size of the tree. But at present only 10 percent of this tree. So there is no alternative to planting trees to keep the environment balanced and fresh. Islam has encouraged and emphasized tree planting and care. Rasulullah (sa) .He said, "If you know for sure that the Hour has come, then if you have a sapling of a tree in your hand, which can be planted, then you will plant that sapling."
(Adabul Mufrad, Hadith: 479) .Allah bestows this invaluable blessing on His servants through greenery and various fruit trees as a means of subsistence. Apart from that, Allah has also beautified this world with green forest and trees .Regarding the tree, the Holy Qur'an says, "I have spread out the earth and made mountains, and caused to grow therein all kinds of beautiful plants."
.And We send down rain from the sky, and therewith bring forth gardens and mature crops, the crops of which are reaped. (Surah Kaf, verses 7-9) In another verse Allah says, 'Do they not see that We cause water to flow over the barren land and to bring forth crops from which their cattle and they (Surah: Sajdah, verse: 27) Not only is the environment protected in tree planting and care, but many rewards can also be obtained through this charitable work.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) encouraged and instructed the Sahaabah by mentioning the virtues of tree planting. .It is narrated in the hadith, "If a Muslim plants a tree or produces a grain and eats from it a person or a bird or an animal, it will be considered as sadaqa (donation) for the producer." (Bukhari, Hadith: 2320).Another hadith says, "Whoever plants a tree, Allaah will reward him in return for the fruit of that tree." (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 23567).* Punishment of unnecessary deforestation in Islam Unnecessary deforestation is often reported in the media, which is highly reprehensible.
Unnecessary cutting down of the beneficial tree that is helping us to create a livable environment cannot be the work of any conscientious conscious person. .If deforestation continues like this, the level of pollution will increase and at one time there will be a terrible environmental catastrophe Today's modern state system has taken some steps against deforestation to protect the environment whereas fourteen hundred and fifty years ago today Islam imposed strictness on deforestation unnecessarily. Rasulullah (peace be upon him) .He said, 'Whoever cuts down a plum tree, Allah will cast him down to Hell.
When Imam Abu Dawood (R.H.) was asked about the meaning of this hadith, he said that the narration of this hadith is concise. Throw him down to hell. '(Abu Dawud, Hadith: 5239) Even the next caliph, including the Prophet (peace be upon him), used to instruct the soldiers not to destroy any of the enemy's plants or crops.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say, 'You will not uproot any tree.' (Musannafe)Abdur Razzak, Hadith: 9430) Because the tree is an invaluable blessing of Allah the Almighty. Destroying it could lead to the extinction of humans as well as other living things on earth. According to various research reports, about 600 species of plants have disappeared from the earth in the last 25 years. .Not only plants but also many birds, mammals and amphibians have been lost.
Scientists say 500 times more than expected The rapid extinction of these plants is very bad news for the world. Oxford University researcher said. ."Food, shelter, construction materials everything we get from plants," said Rob Salgero. In addition, indirectly relying on plants to maintain the ecological balance, carbon sequestration, oxygen generation and even to improve human mental health.
The tree prostrates to the great God. Recites his tasbih. The Qur'an declares, 'Have you not seen what is in the heavens and the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees and the animals, and many people worship Allah? .(Surah Hajj, verse: 18)The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) planted and cared for trees with his own hands.
The importance of tree planting in Islam is immense. Planting trees has been considered as an act of worship. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) encouraged people to plant trees many times. .Agriculture is one of the activities that Islam has inspired people to do to increase the fertility of the land. Because, if the land is fertile, the yield is good. The environment is good. People do not get sick easily .
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) encouraged agriculture and tree planting. So that the plant grows and maintains a healthy environment. In a hadith narrated from Anas, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'If a Muslim plants a tree or sows a crop in a field. .And if any insect or man or four-legged animal eats from it, then it will be considered as charity for him. (Bukhari, Hadith: 2320; Muslim, Hadith: 4055)
It is clear from the hadith that the motivation for tree planting is. .By planting trees a servant gets a fair assessment from his owner. The reward is being written in the record of the creature from the tree grown in the upbringing of the servant only if someone plays something or benefits a little. Even if the person dies, it will be added as a charity.
Islam has encouraged tree planting in various ways. If any fruit is affected by a natural calamity while planting a tree, its proper receipt will be given to the servant. The Prophet (peace be upon him) .He said, "Whoever plants a tree and is patient in caring for and preserving it until it bears fruit, Allah will reward him for every good deed."
(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 16702; Shuabul Iman, Hadith: 3223) .Finally, we all started planting more trees with the aim of creating a healthy, beautiful and green environment. In this way, we will share in the reward by following the instructions of the Prophet (peace be upon him). In the same way our environment will be protected. May Allah grant us Tawfiq.
