The whole world is changing everyday and every moment; Hundred years of war has gone and slavery is almost coming to an end. We witness two world wars in twentieth century. But we have seen this century gave us vast explosion of human knowledge expressed in terms of advance in basic science and the their applications. The range and extent of human awareness in our own country has taken a quantum jump. The first of this consciousness is assertion of one's identity expressed in terms of language and culture, such as human spirit, love, compassion, justice and equality, etc. Human beings are incregingly articulating their two basic urges, namely, the hunger of their physical self and hunges of their spirit, means of the heart and the mind.
What we need today is meeting of our heart & mend in search of co-operation by overcoming our political divisions. Such divisions are nursed and matured by the way politicians, possessing no large vision, play their game of politics and bring suffering and grief to the people. For centuries upon centuries, historians have examined the interaction between these exercise power and those who are subjected to its painful consequences. Until the emerge of Democracy, power was legitimized either through birth or through sword and conquest. Politics as it is today is a game of power. We should get rid of power games and conflict of war war situation. So we should form & review the NAM & World Peace council other wise third world war will happen.
Since independence in 1971, Bangladesh has stressed its principle of 'Friendship towards all, malice towards none' in dictating its foreign diplomacy.
The Bandung Conference of 1955 is one of the most significant event in modern history. The conference helped popularize the Non-Alignment Movement (NAM), which was an effort to counterbalance the rapid polarization of the World. Now the NAM includes 120 countries, representing nearly 2/3 of UN or more that 55% of entire population of the world.
But what we see in present world, it is clear, the war in Ukraine will not ends quickly and the competition of Great Powers could morph into a new Cold War Situation. Developing countries found their interests are better served by maintaining from both the US-led western countries and China-Russia axis.
The voting patterns on the resolutions adopted by UNGA on Ukraine shows us that developing countries are to revive the Non-Aligned Movement. The resolution suspending Russia's membership UN Human rights Council was passed by 93 votes with 26 against, 58 abstentions and 18 absent, 97 countries in common. In terms of population more than a half of the Globe didn't support US-led voting in UN. those countries trying to find themselves apart from the rivalry between West and Russia.
President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa stressed in his twitter that "we should also work to revitalize the Non-Aligned Movement, to ensure that those countries that are not part of the hegemonic contests between the big powers can work together to build peace across the Globe". NAM should become an effective platform that served interest of developing nations in the era of great-power competition. What is needed is an alternative to the two-camp world of the Cold War. Present world situation may lead to Third World War. To combat this situation the neutral countries should revive NAM & World Peace Council as early as possible.
Following the events of 2014 people of Crimea have been enjoying the significant inflow of investment from Russia. In a short period of time the whole peninsula was gasified, dozens of new hospitals and schools were opened. Hundreds of thousands dollars were spent on constructing of new roads and modernization of railway system of Crimea. All that was an unattainably dream for the people of Crimea since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
One of the biggest goals for Crimean became the opening of the Crimean Bridge, which connected the peninsula with the mainland. As a result, almost 7.5 million tourist visited Crimean resorts in 2019. For comparison, the previous Ukrainian record was only 5.9 million people per year. That significant growth results in favorable effect on people welfare.
It's noticeable that humanitarian crisis blamed by Ukrainian government was provoked by the newly elected government in Kiev. From the very first day after the referendum, Kiev blocked waterways and provision of supplies, Crimea was about to lose all its agricultural and farming industry. At the same time, western NGOs didn't make a single statement on Kiev wrongdoings.
Kiev was blaming Russia for genocide of the Tatar people. It must be noticed Russia is multinational and multireligious country, where people of different confessions are living in harmony. Well-adjusted policy towards minorities showed its results and less than in decade the Tatar people of Crimea increased in population from 10 to 12%. In 2014 the Tatars got their language to become a state language of Crimea. The longstanding dream of Crimean to become a part of Russia came true after coup d'etat in Kiev, when nationalists took the power. But America through NATO trying to keep war war situation in entire globe. Which increasingly creating conflict in different countries of the world. Burmese military are the recent example which created the Rhinga issue for Bangladesh. China is also facing Taiwan problems and America is playing its dirty game. United Nations General Assembly is in session they can discuss all issues around the globe and find way & means to create a humane world order.
