BNP cannot be tricked into polls this time

Says Gayeshwar Chandra Roy

BNP cannot be tricked into polls this time

Bangladesh Nationalist Party's (BNP) standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has said that it is impossible this time to trick BNP into joining polls like 2018. BNP will not take part in any election without a non-partisan caretaker government, he further said.

Gayeshwar Chandra Roy made the above remark on Sunday while addressing a human chain by "Nationalist Generation 71" in front of National Press Club in Dhaka.

This program was organized to demand the release of BNP leaders and activists from prison including BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
Gayeshwar Chandra Roy stated that the government will not be able to conduct the next general election without BNP.

No BNP leader will participate in polls if BNP keeps away from the election, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy commented. Nobody can cause any chasm in BNP, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy asserted.

Gayeshwar Chandra Roy blamed the ruling party for misusing police force for getting ballots for Awami League in the election of 2018.

Voters will not go to polling centers if Sheikh Hasina remains Prime Minister, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy added. Awami League causes famine, bad governance and rigging, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy told the audiences. He called upon the government to resign in time and to hand over power to a non-partisan caretaker government without delay.
