Following the high-level reshuffle in Bangladesh Army, there has been a change in the top post of the National Security Intelligence (NSI). Major General Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid, who was Commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), has been appointed the new Director General of NSI, said an order issued on Tuesday. Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid is replacing NSI Chief Major General Md Hossain Al Morshed. Major General Morshed was removed four months after taking charge of NSI.
Major General Khandaker Md Shahidul Imran became the new Commandant of BMA. He was earlier Commandant of Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC) in Rajshahi Cantonment.
Major General Mohammad Asadullah Minhajul Alam has been appointed Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Mirpur Cantonment. He was previously Managing Director of the Machine Tools Factory.
Major General Md Faizur Rahman, who was serving as DSCSC Commandant, has been made the Director General at the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI). An order for his appointment was issued on Monday.
