Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has sought an explanation from its Central Executive Committee member Shaikh Rabiul Alam Robi over allegations of violating party rules and engaging in unethical activities. A letter signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has already been sent.

A BNP spokesperson said, "We have already dispatched the letter." Shaikh Rabiul Alam Robi has been instructed to submit a response letter to the headquarters in Naya Paltan within 24 hours. The deadline is today [Saturday]."

In a case associated with the murder of Deepto TV Broadcast Officer Tanjil Jahan Tamim, his family has accused 16 people in a case over his murder in connection with the ownership of an apartment at Rampura in Dhaka. According to the court file, Robi is the third suspect in this case. Md. Ruhul Kabir Khan, Deputy Police Commissioner of the Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, disclosed the information at a press conference on Friday.

The police officer said, "The initial investigation points to the involvement of Robi, as well as that of police Narcotics Control Division official Md Mamun. Legal action will be taken against them after the investigation is complete." Pleasant Properties Limited had signed an agreement to hand over five apartments to the family of Tamim after construction was completed. But they handed over only two apartments. The managing director of the developer, Robi, is accused of selling one of the other three properties to Mamun's father-in-law without authorization.

The case dossier said, "The apartment was illegally occupied, leading to an enmity between the two sides for the past three years."

Mention that, Tamim was severely injured by an attack at the flat on Thursday in connection with the feud. He was rushed to the hospital, where a doctor declared him dead.
