In recent times, Bangladesh has been reborn and has started a new era. The history-making moment of 'Zen-Z' was inescapably revolutionary, and it has emerged Bangladesh 2.0 by devastating all the systematic cripples.
We have experienced unprecedented sacrifice after the Liberation War in 1971. Abu Sayed and Mir Mugdho were killed brutally at the time of the movement. Numerous students and civilians were savagely slain.
It could be impractical to incite a mass-level revolt against the dictator's powerhouse. No need to say that. Social media played a crucial role and enhanced the defining moment of our history. In momentum and every aspect of life, the public network has huge dominance.
Most of us constantly use social media (Facebook, YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
Considering the constant use and strong attachment, various concerns may emerge regarding effectiveness, personal privacy, safety, authentication of sources, time management issues, socioeconomic impact, personal life influence, and more.
Well, let's try to sum up the total scenario. Social networking brings out great privileges in communication. From interpersonal communication, social networks amalgamate national and international boundaries with digital devices. As a result, business communication, non-trading concerns, administrative divisions, education, and research have been significantly influenced by the concepts and methods of public networking. But most shockingly, this influence may be psychopathic.
Abuse and overuse of social media can cause several problems, especially in teenagers. Mostly, there is a subject matter of FOMO (fear of missing out). It seems to them that something big or interesting is going to be missed, so they are perturbed by the absence of social media. This problematic attachment to the public network may cause mental disorders with the change in behavioral patterns.
Additionally, they participated in unhealthy relationships via social networks without truly knowing each other and with limited information. For teenagers, it's easy to make love proposals, share their inner feelings, and build relationships. But, at a stage, their immature activities hamper their regular lifestyle.
A recent trend shows that the practice of homosexuality has been intentionally promoted on social networks, which is strictly prohibited in Islam and many other religions.
Social media usage among young people has become nearly universal, as shown in surveys from the Pew Research Center. In 2022, nearly 95% of teenagers aged 13 to 17 reported using social media, with over a third stating they are online almost all the time. The near-universal and constant social media usage among teenagers is alarming for several reasons. It can lead to addiction, adversely affect mental health, diminish face-to-face interactions, and increase exposure to cyberbullying, misinformation, and privacy risks. These factors collectively shape their development in potentially harmful ways.
So, it’s a terrifying scenario indeed. It is very commonly seen that the injections of foreign cultures are creating contradictions with our beliefs and norms. For these issues, social media is mainly liable. Another concerning issue is that rumors can be spread quickly through social media. This sort of thing can make an alarming situation, even for the whole country.
Sometimes, it may cause escalating violence by hampering personal privacy. Spam links and fake offerings are also accountable for violence. The overuse of public networks is time-consuming. The wastage of time and regular activities can be obstructed. This valuable time can't be replaced by anything.
This challenging discussion may introduce complexity and potential solutions to your mind.
Let's proceed with digital detoxes of public networks with the Karma System or Kindness Karma. It helps to inject positive behavior and auspicious connectivity. Moreover, it addresses online negativity, trolling, and violence while promoting a mutually respectful community.
Karma's multiplier effect may help in challenging issues or diplomatic affairs through constructive criticism and may help in individual disruption through any form of facilitation.
Building on this idea, we can explore a digital detox subscription box designed to assist cybernauts who are highly hooked on public networks. It helps to refrain from gadgets and reconnect with real-life experiences.
This subscription box endorses a wholesome way of living with its curated content of screen-free activities. The curated contents of the subscription box may contain journals, puzzles, books, and self-care products. Moreover, the box may contain challenging and comparatively more complex taxes. These things may help to reclaim one's attention, build healthy practices, and feel energetic.
Eventually, this leads us to consider the social media health score, which indicates the measures of social media activation and overall impact on engagement. This health score also helps to evaluate the effectiveness, health, and potential risks associated with the public network. A social media health score may be used as a weighted average formula. Assessment of these. Performance Metrics for Social Media (Hypothetically) Engagement 45%, Reach (35%), Follower Growth 20% Generally, a desirable score falls between 70 and 100. Those constantly connected and experiencing FOMO may benefit from stepping away from social media for a short while. This may help them overcome bad habits, smooth their lives, and enjoy real-life moments.
It is therefore clear that the public network has permeated our daily existence. This 21st-century life demands a strong public network infrastructure, not only a luxury but also for all opportunities. In conclusion, we have decided and pledged it.
We are willingly automating the public network but not letting it automate us.
