The authorities also seized a foreign-made pistol, two magazines, 11 rounds of bullets, six shotgun cartridges, three knives, three swords, an axe, 10 crude bombs, eight sticks, four iron rods, and four machetes during the past 24 hours, the statement said.

Earlier, on Sunday, the police had reported 1,308 arrests in the first 24 hours of the nationwide crackdown, but did not specify how many of these were linked to the operation.

The latest figures confirm 343 arrests were made as part of the crackdown.
The interim government initiated the operation following an attack on the home of former Liberation War affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque in Gazipur on Friday night, during which several people were injured and property was damaged.

The special operation, targeting "instigators of instability", was launched by joint forces on Saturday evening. It involves the army, navy, air force, police, Border Guard Bangladesh, or BGB, Ansar, and Coast Guard personnel, Inspector General of Police Baharul Alam confirmed.
