Two Secretaries, one Additional Secretary on forced retirement

The interim government has sent Disaster Management and Relief Ministry's Secretary Md. Kamrul Hasan, Industry Ministry's Senior Secretary Zakia Sultana and Additional Secretary Sayla Farzana on retirement. The Ministry of Public Administration said this in a circular on Thursday.

Kamrul Hasan served as Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Moulovibazar during the ousted Awami League government.

On the other hand, there were allegations that Zakia Sultana stood against the July-August uprising.

There are allegations that Additional Secretary Sayla Farzana played mysterious role after the fall of the Awami League government. Her husband Monirul Islam was an Additional Inspector General of Police as well as Chief of Special Branch during the immediate past government.

Earlier, the government sent 21 deputy commissioners (DCs) into compulsory retirement.
