Dhallywood actress Nusrat Faria arrested

Immigration Police have arrested Dhallywood actress Nusrat Faria. She was detained from the capital's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday. Nusrat Faria was arrested right before she was boarding a flight bound for Thailand. Nusrat Faria is facing a murder attempt case which was filed with Bhatara Police Station in Dhaka city. Allegedly Nusrat Faria acted against the July Uprising in 2024 and funded ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's operations to stop the mass upsurge. Nusrat Faria has been handed over to Bhatara Police Station where she has been shown arrested in an attempt to murder case. Assistant Police Commissioner AHM Shafiqul Islam has confirmed the matter to journalists.
 
Officers at Bhatara Police Station have said that Nusrat Faria was sent to the Detective Branch (DB) office under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on the same day. In a police case 17 showbiz stars were sued for attempting to commit a murder under the jurisdictional area of Bhatara Police Station in 2024 while the Anti-Discriminatory Students' Movement was going on.
 
The above case was filed by an individual named Enamul Haque. Nusrat Faria has been accused in the case of financing Awami League to suppress the July Revolution.
