From the tea stalls at the corner of the street to the drawing rooms of luxury homes—time seems to stand still whenever Bangladesh plays cricket. And at the heart of that passion is BDCricTime—the go-to destination for cricket news, live scores, videos, and everything cricket-related for millions of fans in the country. What started as a small effort has grown into one of the most trusted digital sports media platforms in Bangladesh, now even recognized globally.

The story of BDCricTime is nothing short of remarkable. Md. Jabed Ali, a business administration graduate, never imagined that the platform he started would become the largest cricket media outlet in the country in terms of scope and audience. But behind this success lies years of hard work, resilience, and a dedicated team that believed in his vision.

BDCricTime’s journey began in 2011 under the name BDCricTeam, inspired by platforms like Cricinfo and Cricbuzz. At a time when online media hadn’t yet gained popularity in Bangladesh, BDCricTime took on the challenge of delivering timely and accurate cricket news through a digital portal. Despite the odds, the platform quickly gained traction, especially on Facebook, where its follower count skyrocketed.

As the platform evolved, so did the experience. Today, the BDCricTime app is installed on countless mobile phones, offering match schedules, scorecards, results, breaking news, and exclusive stories—24/7.

BDCricTime now operates with a team of 35 employees, many of whom have been part of the journey from the beginning. The company receives job applications daily, a testament to its growing reputation. Whether it's international matches, domestic tournaments, or franchise leagues—BDCricTime reporters are on the ground, delivering coverage in real-time. The organization supports both on-site and remote work, with a strong belief that flexibility boosts performance. Even before the pandemic, BDCricTime embraced remote working, often making it possible for a breaking news story to be published by someone on a beach with a laptop.

Recently, BDCricTime crossed 1 million YouTube subscribers and 9 million Facebook followers. Its sub-brand, BDCricTime Bulletin, has added a more stylish take on cricket coverage. Meanwhile, BDSportsTime—a sister concern—has begun expanding into other sports like football and athletics, and has already received positive feedback from audiences.

BDCricTime is more than just a media house. It’s actively involved in social responsibility initiatives—distributing winter clothes to the needy, aiding flood victims, and proudly sponsoring Bangladesh’s wheelchair cricket team. The platform's excellence in combining sports and technology earned it the BASIS National ICT Award in 2019 in the Media & Entertainment category.
