Standard CharteredBangladesh and Khulna MuktiSebaSangstha (KMSS) have partnered to supportJashore’s female farmers in entrepreneurial progress to cultivate high-valueflower crops. As part of this sustainability and community engaging initiative,the two organisations will work together to boost flower production and fosteragriculture diversification in this area. The project will facilitate the skilland capacity development of 1,200 marginalised female farmers.
The project willfocus on environmentally conscious flower production techniques. 11 protectivefloriculture sheds will be established to maintain the right conditions forflower cultivation. Cultivators will also receive access to floriculture toolsand advanced training on post-harvest management, flower-based productdevelopment, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship development. By fosteringentrepreneurship and enhancing livelihood opportunities, the project willempower cultivators to establish commercial linkages with buyers, exporters,and flower-based product manufacturers, ultimately contributing to sustainableeconomic growth in the community.
