President reportedly writes to Foreign Adviser on photograph removal
 
The Bangladesh interim government's Foreign Ministry has ordered all Bangladesh embassies, consulates and high commissions in foreign countries to remove President Mohammed Shahabuddin's photographs. A broad number of Bangladeshi diplomatic missions abroad have meanwhile removed Mohammed Shahabuddin's pictures reportedly. Investigative journalist Zulkarnain Sayer Khan has posted on his own verified Facebook page that President Mohammed Shahabuddin has meanwhile issued a letter to Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain on this point.

According to Zulkarnain Sayer, President Mohammed Shahabuddin signed the above letter on 28 September 2025. However, Zulkarnain Sayer could not confirm whether Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain has yet received the letter or not. Zulkarnain Sayer wrote on Facebook that President Mohammed Shahabuddin has questioned whether any tactful step could not be taken to avoid insulting him. President Mohammed Shahabuddin stated in the letter that he has been taking care of his duty as Bangladesh President fully complying with the country's constitution.

According to Zulkarnain Sayer's Facebook post, President Mohammed Shahabuddin has extended legal support to the interim government unprecedentedly by issuing around fifty ordinances. President Mohammed Shahabuddin's role from 5 to 8 August 2024 was also highly significant, the Facebook post mentioned.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin complained that his honour was degraded by pulling down his photographs crudely overnight which has meanwhile gone viral on social media. President Mohammed Shahabuddin claimed himself to be a freedom fighter in the letter, Zulkarnain Sayer added.
