Rangpur Natya Kendra (RNK), a renowned cultural organization in the city, celebrated its 27th anniversary with a two-day colorful stage play festival that captivated hundreds of spectators.
On the first day of the two-day anniversary festival, the play Pala Natya 'Bisarjan Kabyo' was staged at the District Shilpokola Academy auditorium in the metropolis at 7 pm on Sunday.
Renowned playwright Sumit Mohanta was responsible for the research, script, and direction of the play 'Bisarjan Kabyo'.
After the play, a cake was cut on stage to celebrate the 27th anniversary of Rangpur Natya Kendra.
A discussion was arranged at the same venue with RNK President Engineer Mahbubul Alam Khan in the chair.
District Cultural Officer Arifuzzaman Arif, RNK General Secretary Razzak Murad, Vice-president Abul Khair, members Rehena Parveen Shilpi, Sabbir Parvez Sajib, theater personalities Nizamul Islam Babul, GM Naju, Masud Karim and theater worker Mrinal spoke.
On the second day of the anniversary festival, the play 'Nil Lalita' was staged on Monday evening at the same venue.
The play was written and directed by playwright Sayik Siddiqui.
Theater lovers from different walks of life enjoyed the play held over the two days.
