Ivy shown arrested in another five cases

Police personnel in Narayanganj have shown former Mayor Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy in another five cases. Four of these cases were filed with Fatullah Police Station and another case was lodged with Narayanganj Sadar Thana. One of these cases held Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy responsible for obstructing 
police force from doing their duty while another four cases indicted her with murder charges. The hearings on these cases were held on Tuesday (18 November 2025) at the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Narayanganj.

Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy was absent in the court during yesterday's hearings. Her lawyer Awlad Hossain said "Case description doesn't contain Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy's name on which hearings were held today. Cases one after another are being slapped on her to delay her bail process. We are going to appeal to the apex court against these shown arrest orders."

Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy was arrested from her own residence on 9 May 2025. She was granted bail from the High Court over five cases but the bail order was later on stayed.

Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy is one of the most transparent, courageous and devoted political leaders in Bangladesh. She did a lot of hard work for the betterment, socioeconomic progress and improved lifestyle for people living in Narayanganj city irrespectively during her tenure as Narayanganj City Mayor.
