Bangladesh Women’s Volleyball Team Will Contest for CAVA Cup 2025 in Maldives
 
Bangladesh Women’s Volleyball Team will take part in the CAVA Cup for Women 2025, scheduled to be held in Malé, Maldives, from December 19 to 25, 2025. The national side departed for Malé on 17 December 2025, following the completion of a rigorous four-month training camp at BKSP. The team will be led by captain Most. Sabina Khatun. The tournament will feature several strong teams from the region, including Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Turkmenistan, and Bangladesh, promising a highly competitive event, according to a press release received on 15 December.

Mr. Faruque Hassan, President of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), has reaffirmed his commitment to the national team by providing three sets of official kits and extending comprehensive support to ensure optimal preparation. Highlighting the significance of the occasion, he noted that this marks the first time Bangladesh’s women volleyball players will compete abroad, adding that the team’s preparations have been highly satisfactory.

Expressing confidence in their performance, he voiced his expectation that the team will return home as champions and appealed to the nation for its support and prayers. At the same time, Chairman of the Bangladesh Volleyball Women’s Committee, Ms. Sharmin Hassan Tithi, continues to play a pivotal role by closely supporting the team throughout its preparations for the international event. She stated that, backed by advanced training and strong determination, the Bangladesh women’s volleyball team is set to compete in the CAVA Cup 2025, the press release concludes.
