Survey forecasts very close competition between BNP and Jamaat

A survey conducted among common citizens across the country shows that the 13th parliamentary elections will be heavily contested by Jamaat-E-Islami and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in a highly competitive run. According to the findings that emerged through the survey, BNP is most likely to obtain slightly more than 34 percent votes. On the other hand, Jamaat has been predicted to secure 33 percent votes.

Another point from the survey suggests that around 17% voters will remain undecided which means that these voters have not yet resolved for which party they will cast their ballots in the upcoming elections. The survey also states that National Citizens Party (NCP) and Islami Andolon Bangladesh might acquire 7.1% and 3.1% votes respectively.

Machine Learning Projection shows that keeping in view the pulse of undecided voters, BNP and Jamaat might get hold of 43.2 percent and 40.8 percent votes respectively. The results of the survey were unveiled on Monday afternoon by International Institute of Law and Diplomacy at the National Press Club, Dhaka.

Jagaran Foundation and Narrative and Projection BD carried out the above electoral survey. The survey further describes that approximately 86% voters are interested to cast their ballots. Another angle of the survey implies that BNP is likely to attain 43% votes while Jamaat is anticipated to gain 41 percent votes if the scale of the swing voters is calculated.

The above survey was conducted from 21 November to 20 December 2025. Opinions from people living in big cities, small townships and villages were assessed while preparing the survey report .
