Saleh Shibli made Press Secretary to PM

Saleh Shibli has been appointed in the Press Secretary post for newly elected Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Wednesday to this end. This post is equivalent to full-fledged Secretary. In another gazette notification Atiqur Rahman Rumon has been named as the Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister. Saleh Shibli was Tarique Rahman's Press Secretary even when he was Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman before the 13th parliamentary elections.

Saleh Shibli served in the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Calcutta as First Secretary (Press) when BNP led four parties alliance was in power. He worked for UNB, Dainik Manab Zameen, Bangla Bazar Patrika, Channel I etcetera holding different positions. Saleh Shibli once upon a time held the General Secretary post in Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU). On the other hand, Atiqur Rahman Rumon was a journalist in Dainik Dinkal for a long time.
