Bangladesh top denim exporter to EU and USA
Bangladesh has been able to retain the top position on the chart regarding the export of denim or jeans apparel products to the European Union (EU) and the United States for last several years. Latest updates show that Bangladesh exported denim attires to the EU and USA equivalent to 260 crore USD last year which is 25% higher than previous years. Office of Textile and Apparel under the US government and Euro Stat have informed that denim dresses exported from Bangladesh to the United States have reached 96 crore dollars last year. On the other hand, European Union has imported denim goods from Bangladesh worth 164 crore dollars in 2025.
Bangladesh is closely followed by Mexico, Vietnam, Pakistan, Turkey and Cambodia in terms of denim exports. Earlier Bangladesh had only 10 or 12 denim factories which now have mounted to 50 jeans manufacturing industries. Denim attires produced in these factories meet 60% of the domestic demand for jeans shirts, trousers and jackets.
Every year denim exporters and manufacturers organize exhibitions of their goods in Dhaka in which a lot of foreign buyers arrive and place orders.
