Deprived Social Segments Express Outrage Via Terrorism

Deprived Social Segments Express Outrage Via Terrorism

Terrorism in the modern age has become a much debatable issue across the globe. It is through the mode of terrorism deprived sections of our society are expressing their outrage. The logic behind expressing the outrage is nothing but non receipt of their much-awaited expectations. It might be justified to some extent, but to many it is a sign of disgruntlement to creamy layers of our societies.

Now whenever we witness terrorism, our heart and mind start throbbing. But this activity should arrive at a static point. My readers might not accept this thought. But somehow or rather, we must come out with a truce that terrorism should be brought to an end. This process might be a long-drawn process, but along with our mental thought and application we must feel each and every citizen of the globe do not be over expectant about the acceptability of their demand, it should be within a reasonable justified limit.

To write about terrorism, might be a long-drawn proposition, but there are some ins and buts into it. But let me state, what actually the said term is interpreted in the real sense of the term. To delve more into my subject matter, the said term has been defined as such. That it indicates premeditated use of violence or the phobia generated in our mind regarding violence against deliberative threatening of violence or phobia which instigates coercion in order to achieve political, religious, sociological and ideological goals.

Now let me touch upon the reasons behind the occurrence around the globe as well as in this vast nation India. There might be various reasons inclined to it. Among all some of the relevant ones are stated as such follow:

Political Drivers:

Political Drivers are subdivided into following aspects, such as such, political oppression-it reflects citizens apathy to strictly adhere to democratic norms to voice relevant grievances, state failure-this takes place whenever weak governments create lawless zones for militant groups, civil wars-this is an ongoing conflicts which destabilize regions and finally deviation from traditional population groups, foreign intervention-it is a process of external military presence which fuel nationalist resistance groups.

Socio-economic factors: The term, ‘Socio-economic factors’ are referred to as the social and economic factors that throw light upon how citizens quality of life is given proper shape like opportunities and overall economic and social wellbeing. These covers areas like income, education, employment opportunities which are linked up with healthcare, the ultimate aim of which is to determine social acceptability along with physical and mental health.

Socio-economic is a vast subject in which social, economic and various other issues are deeply interlinked. Among all some of the common ones are stated as follow:

Income-This is referred to as monetary earnings or cash flow of a household. It also dictates immediate purchasing power, food security and standard of living.

Wealth-This is the net value of owned assets, such as savings, property and investments. This factor also acts as a financial cushion against emergencies which shapes intergenerational mobility.

Education Level- This factor is also referred to as formal completion of school life. It is also instrumental in critical thinking, health literacy and finally completion of academic life.

Occupation-It is also referred to as an individual's job or classification of self-career.  The said term, is also referred to as a person's principal work, job, or profession pursued with the objective for a livelihood.

Now let me touch upon the impact of terrorism in the professional life of humanity. Not only in India, but also in other nations of the globe, we evince from close quarters, that whenever terrorism or terrorist activities take place, social, cultural and economic life of humanity becomes fragmented into pieces. On account of the above, the mental condition of humanity becomes haywire which goes without saying.

It is beyond doubt, that terrorism deeply impacts human life from various aspects which we cannot deny at all from the threshold of our mind and heart. The occurrence of terrorism is always trauma induced, hypervigilant and finally super heightened anxiety. While contrary, we find that severe psychiatric conditions like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

This has a deleterious impact on our health which may take a long time to recover and regain lost ground. In this regard, human beings try to grapple with the negatives of life. This pushes back human life into utmost debris thereby progress of us will remain harsh stigma in life.

The impact of terrorism can be interpreted from various aspects. These are stated as such,Collective trauma and hyperarousal:

It can be stated with grit and confidence that terrorism is always trauma and hyperarousal induced.

The human beings who are of pernicious and vicious mental makeup always possess a feeling of threat meted out to them are always ever-present. That is the reason the following precautions should be taken to take serious note about the probability of any impending disaster which looms large in their life. Thus, the common precautionary measures taken are stated as follow:

Hypervigilance- It is due to terrorism, humanity all around us develop chronic nervous arousal which takes place due to sleep disturbances and obsessive need to monitor surroundings.

Erosion of safety-In this regard, the role of governance plays a pivotal role so that there should be utmost precaution as regards the occurrence of terrorism in India and other parts of the globe.

Mental Health Toll on specific groups-The impact of terrorism leads to heinous psychological damage which ultimately ruin human civilization.

There are three factors involved in this regard. These are stated as follow:

Direct survivors-Here the sufferings are due to acute stress, survivor’s guilt, depression and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). First responders and Caregivers-It is a repeated exposure to traumatic scenes and recovery efforts. Because of the above reasons, emergency personnel are placed at a high risk for compassion fatigue, burnout and finally trauma spectrum disorders.

The General Public-The term General Public means the entire citizen of areas and nations.

Whenever a special benefit needs to be meted out then our objective should be such caters to macro populations of this vast nation India as well as in other parts of the globe. But during the occurrence of terrorist activity then we find that the life of not only the elite in this regard, we should not hesitate to admit the impact of terrorism on common citizens seems highly despicable.

Summation of the above views sound so vital to me and my respectable readers. Which should give a vital signal that above procedures should be adopted and that it should be nabbed at the earliest.

That means macro citizens of India, closer neighbors as well as nations based in other parts of the globe, deserve peace and tranquility so as to initiate development procedures at the earliest. From the economic point of view, we might render terrorism as the keystone towards dismantling the development process.

Some readers of mine might agree whereas there are quite many who might not agree with my viewpoints. Now the first and key task is that the economy should be developed but along with it social and political issues should be seriously taken into our context and thoughts. In my separate column I shall delve more about economic and political issues, so that our cakewalk to macro development should remain firmly anchored. My readers might wonder why I enchain terrorism with politics, socio studies and economic issues. In the subsequent column I shall throw deep insight into it.
