PSC Chairman Mobasser Monem steps down
Mobasser Monem has resigned as Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
He tendered his resignation to the PSC secretariat on Tuesday, PSC spokesman SM Matiur Rahman confirmed it. "The Chairman's resignation letter is being taken to the President's office," he said.
Monem, a professor at Dhaka University's Department of Public Administration, was appointed PSC chairman on Oct 9, 2024.
His appointment came a day after then PSC chief Md Sohrab Hossain and other members of the commission resigned following the change in government in the wake of the July Uprising.
