CPB congratulates newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) has formally extended its congratulations and best wishes to heroic freedom fighter Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following his election as the 23rd President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. In a joint statement issued on Friday, August 21, 2026, CPB President Kazi Sazzad Zahir Chandan and General Secretary Abdullah Kafi Ratan commended the newly elected Head of State.

The leadership highlighted that an experienced and affable political figure has been chosen to occupy the nation's highest constitutional post. They emphasized the public's expectation that the President will rise above partisan affiliations to uphold the Constitution, safeguard the democratic rights of citizens, and protect the integrity of the state's constitutional institutions.
