Basic Privileges That Every Citizen Deserves
In any major economy of the globe, basic amenities attach top priorities to the entire nation. This is relevant to the entire South Asian Sub-Continent. As this writer hails from India, I do have a profound inclination upon India. Not only India, I do have affection upon Bangladesh too. As because this nation is closer and cordial to India. Bangladesh is closer to the Indian states of West Bengal, North Bengal and also Assam and the North Eastern part of India. Apart from the above regions of India, the same scenario prevails in other parts of India.
My readers might wonder, why did I raise the issue of basic amenities to the citizens based in different parts of India. At present the Indian population is around 140 crores. Among the above data, it is estimated that around 56% of the total population is deprived of receiving basic amenities in life. Though the pattern of living in Bangladesh is different, the demand of the citizens seems similar in my mind and heart. In both nations, poverty is severe, but most of the citizens have to struggle to fight for proper livelihood.
In the midst of 79th year of independence of India, it is estimated to be around 300 million people, who are in the midst of extreme poverty thereby facing multiple deprivations.
India is such a highly populated nation, hence subaltern sections of Indian populations are the most deprived sections as per current scenarios. This theory was propounded by historian Dr Ranajit Guha.
In India, multidimensional approach is the key way to study socio-economic status or standard of living of average households. This is no doubt a logic behind my focusing upon basic amenities of life in India. But why did we analyze focusing upon basic amenities of life in India. In order to probe deep into my thoughts, let me delve into details about why we focus on basic amenities of life in India.
Now let me reiterate what actually the term, the term focusing upon basic amenities is referred to in common parlance. Thus, the said term has been referred to as such. That the said term, has been referred to as such, which are referred to as the essential goods, services, and structural features which are relevant to lead a healthy, safe and comfortable life.
Thus, the basic amenities of life in India are stated as follow:
Electricity- The rural belt of the nation has received electrical connection. Though it might not be substantial. But the availability meeting up sizeable needs of the rural citizens. At present an approximate 269 GW has reached the rural people. Though more is required, time will definitely give a proper answer to it.
Sanitation and toiletries-In India, programs of the Swachh Bharat Mission have significant toilet coverage, in the rural belts of India. As India is a vast nation, the demand in comparison to requirements are less in number.
Clean cooking fuel-The use of Liquified Petroleum Gas has grown rapidly around 80% consumption among rural populations. Most of the rural households have replaced traditional fire woods with LPG. In economics as per the demands for LPG, the availability of LPG is less in numbers. More productions of LPG are required. But it is a time-consuming proposition. That is the reason, all around rural India, legal documents pertaining to availability of cooking gas have to be submitted by the rural cooking gas consumers which indicates proper evidence of the ownership of the consumers.
Housing and Roads-In this regard, herein require durable housing structures. Along with-it, all-weather road connectivity is required which links more rural areas to major towns and economic hubs.
Apart from the above, other basic amenities in the rural areas are required, such as healthcare, education, transportation and public safety.
In India, whenever basic amenities are required, it needs huge budgets. Irrespective of being in urban or rural belts. All the budgets are allocated by NITI Ayog, New Delhi. From the data which is available with me, in urban areas the amount required is around Rs 7000 per person whereas in rural areas it is around Rs 4000 per person. Apart from the above, it will sound interesting if I state the data. Otherwise, my entire exercise might sound mundane. Henceforth, below the detailed expenses are explicitly stated for the kind perusal of my readers.
Summary of the detailed expenses to provide basic amenities of life in India are stated as follow:
Expenses for the entire family approximately Rs 1 crore.
Expenses for a single person approximately Rs 27,644 which is excluding house rent.
There are details of other expenses, which I wish to avoid. This is because the figures might fluctuate as per basic economic indices.
What we mostly witness is that citizens of this vast nation face economic hardships which might be terribly painstaking. Basic problem we face is too much population pressure. As the populations are skyrocketing hence sometimes it is detected that we are not able to meet the basic amenities of the average Indian citizen. Another basic problem we face is that too much population pressures have badly eaten up the vitals of our economy. Despite pressures of population we do have, but our objective is to overcome all relevant hurdles. Finally, we must achieve the much-desired success around us.
Now let me arrive at the crux of our life. That means what actually the term, ‘life’ is referred to in common parlance.
Thus, the said term, has been referred to as such which indicates special quality that separates living plants, animals, and finally single celled organisms from both animate and inanimate objects.
Despite the basic amenities of life, our mindset focuses upon seven phases of life. These are stated as such,
A) We should be amicable and cordial with our past phase.
B) We should be cooperative towards our focusing aspects of life.
C) We shouldn’t be at all self-centered upon fellow human beings also to poor cum downtrodden sections of societies.
Summation of my above hypothesis, one point becomes crystal clear in our mind and heart. In life, we shouldn't become self-centered, rather our endeavor should be to help others. As our poor cum downtrodden sections of societies, having been at the top-edge of our societies, hence it is emphasized upon the modern generations to be more focused upon modern generations. So that they are able to extend help towards the poorer and pathetic sections of our societies. That is why from the above discourse we should be always concerned about helpless and poorer sections of our societies. The Dubious part to be noted is how far we are able to cater to this valuable public service.
