Annisul's grandson on PM's lap

Dhaka North City Corpo-ration's (DNCC) mayor Annisul Huq's wife Rubana Huq has posted a photograph on facebook showing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina holding in her lap Annisul Huq's grandson Laith.

Rubana Huq has also dismissed the rumors about her husband's health condition. Mayor Annisul Huq visited London on 29th July preceding  the birth of his grandson where he got sick.

Rubana Huq posted the picture on facebook on Wednesday where she wrote she usually does not like to upload pictures on facebook but she had to do so to dispel rumors about Annisul Huq's physical status.

She posted on facebook, "I am generally shy about posting pictures but I have to share this one, while rumors about Annis continue to brew. It is extremely unfortunate that some quarters gain from spreading "fake news"."

To quote some more lines from Rubana Huq's facebook profile, "Just to assure everyone that HPM Sheikh Hasina couldn't have been kinder to us. Not only did she meet with us in London, I personally met her a few days ago when I was in Dhaka.

Our family continues to be extremely grateful and indebted to her for the extraordinary support she has offered during our times of distress. I hope this picture will kill the rumors and I hope that all of you will continue praying for my husband Annis."

DNCC mayor Annisul Huq has been under medical treatment in London since August this year with a disease known as cerebral vasculitis. Sources close to Annisul Huq have meanwhile informed that his condition has improved. It may be added that Annisul Huq became DNCC Mayor in 2015. Earlier on he held presidential posts in FBCCI and BGMEA.
