Chandranath Temple is a holy place of pilgrimage for Hindus. It located on top of the Chandranath hill, is a famous Shakti Peeth located near Sitakunda, Chittagong in Bangladesh. It's height about 1152ft from sea level. The temple is beautifully made with marble structures and art.

This year, 4th and 5th March at Chandranath Mandir on Shivratri Tithi the festival was held. Many pilgrims from the country and abroad especially from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and the rest came to visit this temple.

The mythology states Shakti Peethas are divine shrines of Shakti, due to the falling of body parts of the corpse of Sati Devi, when Lord Shiva carried it and wandered throughout Aryavartha in sorrow. There are 51 Shakti Peeth linking to the 51 alphabets in Sanskrit. Each temple has shrines for Shakti and Kalabhairava. The Right Arm of Sati Devi's corpse is believed to have fallen here.
