Sajek Valley: A paradise on earth -The Asian Age

Hill tracks are some of the best of things that can offer an awesome adventure as well as some crazy views. Then if someone says you can touch clouds there with your own hand, then it becomes something else, something unreal. There are not a lot of hilly areas in the world that can offer this mind-blowing experience. Sajek Valley of Rangamati is one of them which can.

Sajek is a union at Baghaichari Upazila in Rangamati districts. Basically, it is the name of a river which separates Bangladesh from India. In the east of Sajek Valley there is Tripura of India; Longdu of Rangamati in the west, in the north the Mizoram of India, and in the south there is Dighinala of Khagrachori. Though it is situated in Rangamati, it is easy to go Sajek from Dighinala. The valley is 2,000 ft high from sea level. Many small rivers flow through the hills. Among them Kachalon and Machalong are famous. The main ethnic minorities on the valley are Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Pankua, Lushai and Sagma.

Sajek is a place of evergreen woody heavens with natural waterfalls, dancing white-grey soft velvet cloud. The picturesque landscape is decorated with green hills, steep cliffs wedged between cloud and sky, rivers and lake filled with cold and tranquil water and green-gold woods lining tribal villages. This magnificent area is so blessed by nature and that the place is known as hill queen and roof of Rangamati.
