Shah Husain Imam joins FE as Editor -The Asian Age

Shah Husain Imam, former Associate Editor of The Daily Star, has joined The Financial Express as its Editor. He succeeds late journalist Moazzem Hossain who passed away on 1 August 2018. Mr. Imam has BA Hon's and Master's degrees in General History from Dhaka University. He successfully completed a Senior Journalists' Program sponsored by the East West Centre, Hawaii, USA in August-September, 2004.

Shah Husain Imam is equipped with 40 years of journalistic experience. He served as Associate Editor of The Daily Star for 24 years, ran a regular Friday column, contributed to Star weekly magazine and edited The Daily Star's monthly journal Forum from 2009 to 2013. He brought out special thematic supplements with strong economic and development contents. He received The Daily Star's Long Time Contribution Award.

Mr Imam contributed to the British daily The Guardian in 1981. Some of his columns in The Daily Star were reprinted in famed Pakistani newspaper Dawn under Asian News Network (ANN) arrangements. Shah Husain Imam has participated in different international conferences and seminars in foreign countries.
